Waterwise at Stillwater
In February 2017 we introduced the Waterwise NZ schools program to our boating club, as a venue to promote and encourage water safety and skills for children.
It proved to be a great success, so with donations and fundraising we were able to continue this program at the club. The location is well suited for these activities, and we extend a warm welcome to all children in the Hibiscus Schools region to come along.
Waterwise is run here by volunteers, mums and dads, anyone who loves what it gives our kids. We would appreciate help and support from those who would like to become a volunteer or instructor.

About Waterwise NZ
Waterwise is a programme which operates in schools to promote confidence in the marine environment through education and a thorough understanding of water safety principals.
Waterwise is a purely voluntary organisation with a core of people who train parents to give them the necessary skills to pass on to pupils from member schools.
The objectives of Waterwise are to establish and develop:
- Self confidence
- Water Safety
- Swimming & Fitness
- Rowing, Canoeing & Yachting skills
