Bounty of the Sea Fishing Competition & Charity Auction
Tomorrow is our big day at the club when our fundraiser for charity kicks off! Over 100 fishermen have entered the fishing competition with many heading off today and the rest tomorrow. Weigh in will start at 12pm, with the cut-off at 2pm.
From 12.30pm there will be activities happening, including face painting and bouncy castle for the kids, and quickfire raffles which include crayfish.
At 2.30pm the eagerly anticipated shave for cancer will happen - there are a few brave men losing their lovely locks and waxing their chest- ouch!
Coastguard boat will be here, bar and food facilities available, merchandise sales, and the auction of both fish and donated items will commence approx. 3pm.
We have some great auction items up for bidding, including vouchers for hardstand haulout, boat charter day out for 4, gift baskets, day out with Coastguard, Bradley smoker, bar fridge, rods and reels.... and more. All donated by our wonderful sponsors. and of course the fresh fish that is weighed in will all be auctioned... can't get much fresher that that!
This will be followed by the prize giving. The new trophy will be presented in memory of Christine Black.
